This is my personal list of favourite blogs covering topics around productivity and self-development. I wanted to call it “best productivity blogs”, but I realised that blogosphere is big enough that I may not be aware of every interesting web page. If any genius is writing about self-development somewhere there, let me know in comments. The order is random - don’t take numbers to serious.
- Steve Pavlina’s Personal Development for Smart People - Although I may sometimes don’t agree with every letter he writes, other times his articles are simply beyond me, it’s obvious that Steve in personal development area is currently numero uno among bloggers. I would call him an expert in pushing the limits, even if it sounds like a cliche. This is exactly what this man does, just to count finishing college in two years, giving up coffee (that’s a challenge), experimenting in poliphasic sleep (successful).
- D*I*Y Planner - This is a community site devoted to paper-based productivity. It is home for D*I*Y Planner kits, set of templates prepared for printing for use in personalized planner. Their daily articles are often good food for thoughts. The editor and creator of D*I*Y Planner is Douglas Johnston, who has also very interesting but unfortunately not often updated personal blog, A Million Monkeys Typing.
- David Seah’s Better Living Through New Media - This is blog written by freelance designer, covering wide range of topics with common theme being inspiration and empowering. One of David’s fascinating projects is Printable CEO™ series - set of forms designed to help in managing one’s own goals.
- Lifehacker - Editor of Lifehacker, Gina Trapani, leads readers through tech-world showing on every corner ways to improve their productivity. Every day flood of useful software, tips to make every-day tasks easier, latest advances in web technology - all of these at Lifehacker.
- Lifehack.org - Similar name, similar idea, but different content. Leon Ho, author of Lifehack.org site, writes about self-development and lifehacks from the point of his own endeavour in personal growth. Update: As I was pointed out, Leon is not alone in his efforts. Currently Adrian Savage, Rosa Say, Reg Adkins and Chris Brogan are helping him in maintaining Lifehack.org.
- 43folders - Merlin Mann’s site contains plenty of productivity tips, inspired often by David Allen’s Getting Things Done (you should know by now, why the name: 43folders). Author is known to be Mac fan and many of his tips are only for Mac users. This site has also very well done, community-driven wiki - great place to explore further topics discussed on 43folders.

Chris Brogan...
Hey! : ) Don’t forget that Leon has a TEAM now, too. So it’s even MORE great stuff for you to love.
Adrian Savage, Rosa Say, Reg Adkins, and oh yeah, me! Chris Brogan.
I’m just teasing you. Leon’s got a great site with lots of wonderful content. We may be your #5, but you’re #1 in our hearts!

Ah, I’m sorry!!! I will fix that mistake in a minute.
I didn’t want to make any ranking. Each of the blogs above is little different, so consider them as my number ones in their own categories :).
