It’s surprising how many people I have no idea about is doing beatiful night photography. “Brian Chapman” - this name didn’t tell me anything until recent browsing session through Flickr photos belonging to “Night Images” group. Among outstanding works of known night photographers (like Troy Paiva, Andy Frazer or Lance Keimig) I found real gems belonging to Brian. He is photos are mostly monochromatic, and using square cropping (despite shooting with Canon’s Rebel XT) makes me think about Michael Kenna work, although it’s very clear that Brian is far from mindless copying somebody’s ideas. His work is original and exceptional. See his home page, and photos at Flickr.
